ABOUT ENVISION DOMINICAN REPUBLIC
The Dominican Republic is a small island nation connected to Haiti in the Caribbean. The Alliance has had an active presence in the Dominican Republic since the mid 1960s when Dominicans living in New York, along with other Hispanic immigrants, sacrificially gave of their time and resources to take the Christ-centered message of the C&MA to their homeland. The church took root and grew, even with the absence of trained pastors or international workers.
The Envision site in the Dominican has the great privilege of partnering with the Dominican Alliance church and helping to create healthy, growing churches. During the next couple of summers, the site will be partnering with the national church to build a national church camp. Envision DR also has the privilege of working in sports ministry, children’s ministry, hosting medical teams, as well as many other things that are all run through the local church. The children’s ministry includes a great working relationship with Compassion International and One Child Matters.
